Mutton Jalfrezi
Ingredients for mutton:
Mutton (boneless) 1/2 kg
Oil 2 tbsp
Ginger garlic paste 1 tbsp
Cloves 4-5
Cinnamon stick 1
Ingredients for gravy:
Oil 2 tbsp
Ginger garlic paste 1 tbsp
Red chili powder 1 tbsp
Coriander powder 1 tsp
Turmeric powder 1 tsp
Cumin powder 1 tsp
Garam masala 1/4 tsp
Soy sauce 2 tbsp
Ketchup 1 cup
Salt to taste
Mutton stock 2 cups
Green chilies 2-3
Onion (cube cut) 1 cup
Capsicum (cube cut) 1 cup
Tomatoes (cube cut) 1 cup
Directions for mutton:
In a pan heat oil add ginger garlic paste, cinnamon stick, cloves and sauté for 1 to 2 minutes.
Add mutton then give it a good mix. Add water as required, cover and cook for 20 to 25 minutes or until meat is tender. Save stock for later use.
Directions for gravy:
In a pan heat oil, add ginger garlic paste and sauté for a minute.
Add boiled meat, salt, turmeric, red chili powder, coriander powder mutton stock and cook for 3 to 4 minutes.
Now add ketchup, green chilies, soy sauce, cumin powder, garam masala and cook for 3 to 4 minutes more.
Lastly add capsicum, onion, tomatoes and mix it well.
Garnish with green onion and serve with rice and enjoy tasty jalfrezi.
