Mongolian Beef With Garlic Rice
Ingredients for beef:
Beef undercut 1/2 kg
Egg 1
Corn flour 3 tbsp
White pepper 1 tsp
Salt to taste
Ingredients for sauce:
Oil 2 tbsp
Garlic (chopped) 2 tbsp
Brown sugar 1/2 cup
Red chilies 1-2 (sliced)
Vinegar 3 tbsp
Red chili flakes 1 tbsp
Oyster sauce 1 tbsp
Sesame seeds for sprinkle
Green onion for garnish
Ingredients for garlic rice:
Rice 1 cup
White pepper 1 tsp
Oil 2 tbsp
Garlic 2 tbsp
Soy sauce 2 tbsp
Directions for beef:
Take beef and cut it into thin slices. Set aside.
In a bowl mix egg, corn flour, white pepper and salt. Marinate thin beef slices in it for 15 minutes.
Heat oil in a pan, deep fry thin beef slices in it until light golden brown. Take it off and set aside.
Directions for sauce:
In a wok heat oil, sauté chopped garlic and red chilies in it for one to two minutes.
Add vinegar, brown sugar, red chili flakes, oyster sauce and cook for two minutes.
Now add fried beef in it and stir on high flame for 3 to 4 minutes until it’s glazy.
Lastly sprinkle sesame seeds and green onion on top and your Mongolian beef is ready.
Directions for rice:
Simmer water in a pan; add salt and one tablespoon of oil.
Add soaked rice, boil until 80% to 90% cooked. Strain and set aside.
In a pan heat oil, sauté garlic in it for a minute. Add rice, soy sauce, white pepper and salt.
Give it a good stir and cook for 2 to 3 minutes. Your garlic rice is ready.
Serve delicious Mongolian beef with garlic rice and enjoy.
