  • Shawarma Rice Platter 
  • Ingredients for chicken marination: 
  • Chicken fillets 4-5 
  • Salt to taste 
  • Coriander powder 1 tsp 
  • Black pepper powder 1/2 tsp 
  • Oil 1 tbsp 
  • Ginger garlic paste 1/2 tbsp 
  • Cumin powder 1 tsp 
  • Ingredients for tahini paste: 
  • Sesame seeds 1 cup 
  • Olive oil 2 tbsp 
  • Ingredients for tahini sauce: 
  • Tahini paste 4 tbsp 
  • Mayonnaise 1 cup 
  • Cream 1/2 cup 
  • Black pepper 1/2 tsp 
  • Salt to taste 
  • Lemon juice 1/2 tsp 
  • Ingredients for salad: 
  • Mayonnaise 1 cup 
  • Cream 1/4 cup 
  • Cucumber (small cubes) 1/2 cup 
  • Carrots (small cubes) 1/2 cup 
  • Onion (small cubes) 1/2 cup 
  • Capsicum (small cubes) 1/2 cup 
  • Black pepper 1 tsp 
  • Salt to taste 
  • Lemon juice 1/2 tsp 
  • Ingredients for rice: 
  • Guard Basmati Rice 2 cups 
  • Onion slices 1/2 cup 
  • Red chili powder 1 tsp 
  • Black pepper powder 1/4 tsp
  • Oil 2 tbsp 
  • Stock 4 cups 
  • Salt to taste 
  • Directions: 
  • 1.In a bowl add chicken fillets, salt, coriander powder, black pepper, oil, ginger garlic paste, cumin powder and Marinate it for at least 10 to 15 minutes. 
  • 2.In a blender add sesame seeds, oil and blend until you get a fine paste. 
  • 3.In a bowl add tahini paste, mayo, cream, black pepper, lemon juice, salt and Mix all ingredients well, your sauce is ready. 
  • 4.Option 1: in a pan add oil, fry chicken from each side for 3 to 4 minutes on medium low flame. 
  • 5.Option 2: grease a grill pan with oil and grill chicken for about 3 to 4 minutes each side on medium low flame. 
  • 6.Take off the chicken fillets and cut into strips. 
  • 7.In a bowl add rice, water and soak Guard basmati rice for 25 minutes. 
  • 8.Now in a bowl add mayo, cream, cucumber, carrot, onion, capsicum, black pepper, salt, lemon juice and Mix all these ingredients well, your salad is ready. 
  • 9.Heat oil in a pan, add onion and cook for about 4 to 5 minutes or until light golden brown. 
  • 10.Then add salt, red chili powder, black pepper and cook for a minute.
  • 11.Now add stock, soaked rice and let it cook until water dries out 90%.
  • 12.When bubbles starts appearing cover and simmer on low flame for 10 minutes, Your rice is ready. 
  • 13.Take a platter add rice, chicken strips, salad and drizzle sauce on top. 
  • Your tasty shawarma platter is ready to serve.
