Kurkuri Bhindi Recipe

Ingredients for fried okra: 

Okra 500g 

Gram flour 1/2 cup 

Turmeric powder 1/2 tsp 

Red chili powder 1 tsp 

Coriander powder 1 tsp 

Cumin powder 1 tsp 

Garam masala powder 1/4 tsp 

Salt to taste 

Mango powder 1 tbsp 

Chaat masala for sprinkle 

Ingredients for spicy yogurt dip: 

Yogurt 1 cup 

Turmeric powder 1/4 tsp 

Salt to taste 

Cumin powder 1/4 tsp 

Coriander powder 1/4 tsp 

Red chilies (chopped) 1-2 

Green coriander 2 tbsp 

Directions for spicy yogurt dip: 

In a bowl add yogurt, turmeric, salt, cumin powder, coriander powder, red chilies and coriander. 

Mix well and your yogurt dip is ready. Set aside. 

Directions for fried okra: 

Take okra cut its tail and head then slice in from center. 

Then cut it into four thin slices and remove seeds from center. Set aside. 

Now in a bowl add gram flour, turmeric powder, red chili powder, coriander powder, cumin powder, garam masala, salt and mango powder. 

Mix it well then coat sliced okra in gram flour mix well. 

Deep fry immediately in hot oil for 3 to 4 minutes or until light golden and crispy. 

Your kurkuri bhindi is ready serve it with spicy yogurt sauce and enjoy. 

Preparation time: 15-20 minutes 

Cooking time: 10-15 minutes 

Serving: 4-5
